Devotions



In effort to teach our children about God and to encourage them in their personal relationship with Jesus, we started to do devotions with Mikaela about a year ago. While it is not something that we are able to do daily as a family, it is something we try to incorporate into our daily life as much as possible. Since we have the blessing on not working during the summer, it is something that we are better at doing in the summer. Several times over the winter Mikaela has mentioned wanting to go and do our devotions down at the park by our house. Well this last Sunday was so beautiful that is what we were able to do. We took a blanket and our Bibles and had a great time reading His Word, praying for each other, and growing as a family.

And of course, we had to have our first Dairy Queen run of the year too.

This is so inspiring to me Denise - I've been wanting to do this for awhile, in addition to reading the children's bible before bed - thanks for encouraging me! We should get Fiona & Mikaela together soon - Knelly

That's really awesome Denise! It is so encouraging to me to see families trying to live godly lives in this day and age, especially with children. I will pray that you will be able to grow and learn together in these beautiful moments you spend together as a family. Dairy Queen rocks! :)
